Purpose of the non-profit association
The purpose of the association is to promote audiovisual art and culture in Regensburg. The focus is on film as an artistically, historico-cultural and socio-politically relevant art form as well as a current object of research and medium of representation. Independent, experimental, underrepresented and marginalized cinema is also of interest. Another focus is the promotion of visual, audiovisual and cross-media forms of expression in media and video art, including VJing at live concerts. Selected films and audiovisual media art works are to be made accessible to a broader public as cultural assets to be preserved and presented, which are otherwise not or only limitedly present in Regensburg. Cultural participation and educational work are of particular importance. The irrevocable principles of the association include the rejection of group-related misanthropy such as racism, sexism or homophobia.
